The jar contains woody biomass colonized with reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) mycelia (picture 1).

Cultivation is as simple as possible and demands no previous knowledge. Just place the jar in a place protected from direct sun and the mushroom adventure can begin.

You can observe the fruit body’s growth for as long as six months. When the growth stops dried mushrooms can be used for medicinal tea preparation or as a decoration for flower arrangements due to their shiny reddish color.
